The tenth week again delivered, with a huge upset for the Bills demonstrating the 'any Sunday can bring surprises' mantra that draws so many fans into the NFL

This outcome could have created things up for the New England Patriots to move back into a leading position they formerly held, with a schedule that gives them an advantage over their 8-2 rivals

Over in the National Football Conference the Seahawks and Los Angeles Rams had perfect results to arrange a monster clash next week, while our player of the week is pursuing milestones as well as the MVP award

Analysis - Just a Bad Day for Buffalo?

Josh Allen in action
Did Josh Allen try too much or could it simply have been a bad day for the Bills?

Could it simply have been an emotional letdown from defeating Kansas City last week or a deeper issue? That's the question for the Bills to address

The Bills had won seven in a consecutive games against Miami but were outperformed from the beginning as the Miami team emerged as 30-13 winners in an surprising result - and display

MVP Josh Allen only achieved the team's opening first down in the third quarter and first points in the final quarter - admittedly Miami had ten days to prepare but it was still a significant failure laid by one of the league's top offences

Dolphins quarterback Tua passed for two scores but running back Achane was the game-changing factor, with 225 total yards and two touchdowns

Containing the league's best running game was also key, with James Cook and company registering just 86 yards, their fewest of the season and just over half their 161.5-yard average

Then there were the three critical turnovers, and the two from Josh Allen specifically. An interception in the end zone resulting in a nine-minute drive yielded no points, and his final quarter fumble that Miami turned into seven points just two plays

It was classic 'previous Bills teams' as they shot themselves in the foot, getting into a hole on defense and Allen trying to do too much to rescue his squad from the situation - not the calm, controlled, balanced Bills we've seen this season

Miami have demonstrated a varied performances this year so the verdict is uncertain on whether this is the start of something, but for the Bills they'll require an immediate bounce-back in a difficult matchup against Tampa Bay next week as the New England are sneaking into a comfortable advantage at the top of the American Football Conference East

Spotlight - New England Identify Route to Unexpected First Place

Speaking of the Patriots, they're among three different eight and two squads in the league, all AFC teams, but could they be the best?

You can pick holes in New England, Denver and Indianapolis really for dominating the lesser sides, with just five of their combined 24 victories achieved against teams with a winning record - and one example was the Indianapolis defeating the Denver

The Broncos defeated the champion Eagles in Philadelphia and are masters of the final quarter while Indy can ride Jonathan Taylor, but the Patriots adding Sunday's victory in Tampa to their prime time win in Buffalo seems like a declaration

Their two defeats came in recently appointed coach Mike Vrabel's initial three games, with seven straight victories, just like Denver, since then - but taking down Mayfield after the Buccaneers had a week off to get ready was significant

Maye's Most Valuable Player credentials continue to be discussed, and he certainly earns point for courage after absorbing some hard tackles in Tampa Bay but persevering to guide his team to success

The defensive unit is reliable and rookie rusher Henderson exploded on game day with 147 rushing yards and two exciting scores of 55 and 69 yards - becoming just the fifth runner to exceed 22 miles per hour this year on his first score

Although you can argue who 'the best' is statistically, the Patriots should be favorites to end with the best record due to their schedule - which includes just a single matchup against a winning team, albeit a significant contest against the Bills

Traveling to Baltimore is also tough, but the Broncos have it even tougher in the AFC West division with the Kansas City to face two times, the Los Angeles Chargers (who might also challenge for first place but encounter the identical challenge) and also the Packers on the fixture list

The Colts also play the Kansas City, and have the Seahawks, 49ers and two games with the 5-4 Jaguars to face. There's a considerable distance to travel but the opportunity is available for a surprise top seed in the AFC

Coming Up - Los Angeles and Seattle Set for Week 11 Showdown

Two teams with solid claims to be superior to all of the three 8-2 sides are NFC West opponents the Seattle and Rams, who each scored forty points to reach seven and two before the upcoming Hollywood blockbuster meeting between the pair in LA

Both have won four in a row, have signal callers in Matthew Stafford and Darnold performing at an elite level (although Darnold had ball security problems on Sunday) with excellent pass catchers, and defenses allowing under 20 points a game

Each could easily be undefeated as well - especially the Los Angeles as their pair of losses came in extra time against the San Francisco and then that agonising loss in Philly when they had a potentially winning field goal with the final play deflected and run back by the Eagles for a score

The Seahawks also lost to the 49ers, with a late touchdown in the opening week, before losing to the final play of the contest against the Buccaneers - so they are truly among the best sides in the league

The upcoming game on Sunday could be the best of the year so far

Player of the Week - Taylor

Taylor might be on for a historic year after his incredible display in Germany - running for 244 yards, scoring three touchdowns and contributing an additional 42 {receiving yards
